This Fall my visit to Missouri was multi purposed! I was able to spend time with Mom and Manuel and gain a better understanding of the treatment Mom is going through for her esophogeal cancer. None of us can understand what chemotherapy is like, unless we've gone through it, but Mom is determined to fight this. I am thankful for Manuel, in that he is taking good care of her, driving her to her treatments every day and helping to keep track of the treatment schedule. Thankfully, the Cancer Center in Lakewood, is only 5-10 minutes from their home.

I was able to help Melanie and Andy out with the girls while I was there-tough duty! Ha! I loved every minute of my time with Cale and Leah. Jamie, Kelsey and Aaron came over one afternoon to help out with the kiddos, while Aunt Abby came to cook BBQ pizza for us all. Jim and Lisa came over after teaching their CPR Certification Class. It's great to gather as a family.

On Friday, I drove Mom's PT Cruiser down to Camdenton for my 40th High School Class Reunion. It was a gorgeous weekend at The Lake. We did a tailgate before the Laker Football Game on Friday night; toured the old and new High School on Saturday, and had a casual BBQ out at Joe and Ellen's lovely lake home on Saturday night. It was great seeing old friends and reconnecting.
